The Founding Story
On 17th January 1966, a group of visionary businessmen and industrialists of the then Hyderabad-Karnataka region came together in Kalaburagi with a shared conviction — that the region's trade and industry needed a united voice. That conviction became the Chamber, today known as the Kalyana Karnataka Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
From its earliest days, the founders set the Chamber on a path of purpose: protecting business interests, pressing governments for infrastructure and fair policy, and working for the inclusive development of one of Karnataka's most underserved regions. The institutions and milestones the Chamber later helped secure — Article 371(J) Special Status, the Central University, Jayadeva Hospital, the airport, and industrial parks — all trace back to the foundation these leaders built.
"60 Years of Legacy. Powering the Next Era of Enterprise." — a mission six decades in the making.
